Description

A couple we knew went on vacation to the Caribbean and the woman's husband took a photograph of his wife(Irina) contemplating the shoreline vista. A few months earlier, they had lost their longtime companion dog, named Puma. I painted Puma looking at Irina, while she was looking out toward the ocean. When she saw what I had painted, she broke down crying and I knew I had done a good job on this painting. Sadly, Irina is no longer here either and I imagine she is walking Puma in heaven.
